These s-hooks are used for holding your macrame work, whilst knotting. You can place two hooks onto a rail or the back of a chair and then prop your wooden dowel onto the hooks and you're then free to knot away! You can also use one hook for rings, when making things like plant hangers. I have many uses for these hooks in my studio too. I store all sorts on them - yarn, metal frames, artwork, my backpack and coat!
